Among the many players out on loan from Manchester City, Issa Kaboré is perhaps the one impressing the most, doing so on the international scene with Burkina Faso.
Helping his country reach the latter stages of the competition, the right-back loaned to Troyes for the current campaign, was voted the Africa Cup of Nation’s best young player, which many felt was truly deserved.
He will now be returning to France, where he will finish the campaign before heading back to Manchester City, who will need to decide what to do with him.
There is always the prospect of him staying at the Etihad to learn under Pep Guardiola to potentially make it in the first-team one day, or they can sell while the stock is high and make a healthy profit on a 20-year-old they spent £4m on in 2020.
Either way, there are interested sides, with L’Est Éclair in France revealing that ‘many German clubs’ are lining up for the right-back, with Hertha Berlin ‘at the front’, as they have ‘already observed the Troyes defender many times’.
Something to think about for Manchester City, who might have a specific plan for Kaboré, since Kyle Walker is entering the latter stages of his career.
