AC Milan are planning to strengthen their midfield and one of they main targets is Chelsea’s Cesc Fabregas.
The Spaniard and his coach Maurizio Sarri have ruled out a move away from Stamford Bridge in January, meaning the Serie A outfit will have to look elsewhere in the market.
Italian website Calciomercato.it looks at several options for the Rossoneri and one of the names mentioned is that of Liverpool midfielder Adam Lallana.
The former Southampton star has not featured regularly since 2017 because a hamstring injury has forced him to spend time on the sidelines, and a groin injury he picked up in September saw him stay away from the pitch for a month.
Lallana was untouchable under Jurgen Klopp at one time, but that’s changed and he’s made only two starts for the Reds in the league this season.
The 30-year-old’s contract at Anfield runs out in 2020 and the report mentions his technique and vision are his key strengths. This is why Milan find the player’s profile ‘attractive’ ahead of the January transfer window.
Calciomercato does not mention if Lallana and/or Liverpool are open to a transfer in the mid-season window.
