In dire need of some reinforcement down the right wing, many expected Manchester United to go all out to sign Jadon Sancho.
That, however, never happened, and the Red Devils decided to instead spend their cash on two younger options in Facundo Pellistri and Amad Diallo.
The pair have since integrated the Old Trafford squad, but neither are expected to have regular play time for now, which is why, especially for the Uruguayan, the idea of a loan has been mooted.
There’s been some reported interest from Spain with Celta, but it appears an ambitious Serie B side are also on the case.
That’s according to Padova Sport, who claim Monza have ‘finally set their sights’ on Pellistri, who, after a good impact in the Premier League 2, has been granted the opportunity to find a loan in hope he develops further.
Since he’s got a Spanish passport, moving around Europe wouldn’t be an issue for him, and the Serie B side are ‘among the teams surveyed’.
Nothing concrete just yet then, and it would make more sense to send him to a Spanish speaking country, but the Monza option appears to be there.
