For quite some time now, Javi Gracia has been trying to get a reunion sorted with Etienne Capoue.
Now in charge at Valencia, the former Watford manager has been attempting to get his club to sign the midfielder for the past few weeks, and time is running out.
That’s what SuperDeporte are reporting on Monday afternoon, claiming the La Liga side are fighting ‘against the clock’ to get a deal over the line.
Valencia have been ‘trying to lower the conditions set by Watford, but an agreement has not yet been reached’.
With the deadline just a few hours away, things need to speed up if this is going to be done, regardless of the fact Capoue ‘wants to play for Valencia and has made it known to Watford’.
The Hornets have allegedly ‘lowered their demands compared to a few weeks ago, accepting there will be no purchase option for the footballer’, while the Spaniard ‘would have to pay close to €2m for the loan of the player’.
Talks are seemingly still ongoing, and if there is a breakthrough, we’ll let you know.
