Fotomac claim Besiktas must beat River Plate to sign Brighton and Hove Albion winger Jose Izquierdo in this window.
The Turkish newspaper claim Besiktas are interested in signing the 26-year old, but they now have to act quickly because the Argentine giants are also looking to land the Brighton player.
Besiktas were prepared to wait until the end of the transfer window to make their move for Izquierdo but Fotomac say River’s interest may change the Istanbul side’s stance on the situation.
After selling Ryan Babel to Fulham, Besiktas are in the market for a winger and Izquierdo looks to be an option for the Black Eagles.
Izquierdo has reportedly been followed by the Super Lig club since 2015, when he impressed whilst playing for his former side Club Brugge in the Europa League.
The Brighton attacker has featured in nine Premier League games for the club this season and he’s under contract with the Seagulls until June 2021.
