Juventus are eyeing a move for Leicester City midfielder Youri Tielemans as they seek a new young midfielder for Massimo Allegri’s squad.
That’s according to Tuttomercatoweb journalist Nicolo Ceccarini, who says it is a toss up between Tielemans and Monaco’s Aurélien Tchouaméni.
Tielemans has established himself as something of a star at the King Power Stadium since arriving in a £40.5m deal from Monaco in July 2019.
The midfielder is getting closer to fulfilling his early potential, and that has seen him linked with a move next summer, particularly as he’ll be entering the final year of his contract at that point.
Leicester are keen to have him sign a new deal, but that is yet to happen, so speculation is beginning to ramp up.
And it seems one of those who could be keen on a deal are Juventus, according to Ceccarini’s latest information.
“The (Juventus) squad is incomplete, and especially in the midfield, we need a further addition of quality, able to make the team change gear,” he told Tuttomercatoweb.
“The process of generational change has begun. The operation Locatelli goes in this direction, and now Juventus must look for a young, strong profile that can give a great perspective.
“In short, the objective is to try to satisfy Allegri, even if it’s never easy to intervene in January.
“The first target is Aurelien Tchouameni, a 2000 Monaco player who is already showing his qualities. In short, a player who would be perfect.
“Another name is Youri Tielemans, midfielder class 1997 of Leicester and the Belgian national team.
“Also here the Juventus club has to face clubs like Liverpool and Manchester United. In short, Juventus are already starting to move.”
