Torino have turned their attention to Brighton and Hove Albion and Leeds United as they plan to replace Alessandro Buongiorno this summer.
That’s according to Gianluca di Marzio, who reports that Brighton’s Igor and Leeds’ Pascal Struijk are two options for the Italian club.
He explains that with Buongiorno seemingly on his way out this summer thanks to interest from Napoli and other Italian sides, Torino are already working to replace him.
The club know they need at least one central defender as they’re losing Buongiorno and Perr Schuurs is recovering from a big injury suffered last season.
Leeds United’s Pascal Struijk is one of those, with their failure to get back to the Premier League having opened the club up to bids for players this summer.
Brighton defender Igor is another name on the list as the former Fiorentina man is a player Vagnati knows well as he previously brought him to Italy with Spal. He is currently valued at €20m.
No value is put on Struijk, although it’s easy to imagine Leeds wanting a similar fee, especially with them needing money from sales this summer.
For now Torino seem to just have both players on a list and aren’t making any serious moves, but that could change once Alessandro Buongiorno moves on.
