Having decided to allow Kelvin Yeboah to cut his loan short, Montpellier have turned to Nottingham Forest to bolster their frontline.

That’s what L’Equipe are reporting on Wednesday, claiming the Ligue 1 club are ‘exploring’ two avenues, both leading to strikers who already know the league.

The first is Yann Karamoh, and the second is Nottingham Forest’s Hwang Ui-jo, who used to play for Girondins de Bordeaux.

He was bought by the Tricky Trees, but has never actually featured for them, instead spending time out on loan at Olympiakos, FC Seoul and the first half of this season at Norwich City.

The striker scored three goals and assisted another in 18 appearances for the Championship side, but was brought back earlier this month, seemingly in search of another adventure.

The South Korea international could find that with Montpellier, although it isn’t said whether or not he is ahead of Karamoh in the list or whether it will be a loan or a permanent transfer.

Seeing as the Yeboah deal was a loan, however, we can safely assume it will be something similar for the Nottingham Forest man.
