Sevilla are expecting West Ham to make a second effort to sign Youssef En-Nesyri in the summer transfer window.

That’s according to La Razón, who say the Spanish side have set a €40m asking price on their man and already identified a replacement.

West Ham were keen to sign En-Nesyri during January after selling Sebastien Haller to Ajax and made a bid for his services.

That was rejected by Sevilla, who resisted any efforts to lure their top goalscorer away, believing they could get an even better price in the summer.

Whether the Hammers will make another attempt in the summer has yet to be mentioned in England, but La Razón say the stance in Spain is very much that West Ham will make a renewed effort at some point.

Sevilla certainly expect that to happen and are already planning ahead, having identified Real Madrid’s Mariano Diaz as a replacement.

The striker remains out of favour under Zinedine Zidane, and Real Madrid need to make sales if they are to fund their own purchases in the summer.

Thus, Sevilla ‘seriously value’ his signing if En-Nesyri departs, with them having put a €40m asking price on their man.

West Ham are not the only interested party, with AC Milan and Roma also willing to bid for his services, in a summer that is looking very likely to be a busy one for him.
