As Brazilian outlet IG writes this week about the players who could move in Europe and indirectly give some money to Fluminense, there’s a paragraph about Watford starlet João Pedro.

The youngster left the Tricolor on a €4m move to the Hornets in 2020, and as agreed at the time, the Brazilian club will get 10% from the profit of a future sale, along with the solidarity mechanism.

IG writes that João Pedro has been monitored by Benfica, Newcastle United and West Ham United, and could move from Watford this summer, being one of the ‘biggest assets’ the club have to negotiate this window.

It’s said Waford ‘affirmed’ they expect to make between €30m and €40m with his sale, with Fluminense getting between €2.7m and €3.7m.

Featuring for the Hornets this season, João Pedro only had four goals and one assist in 28 appearances, but his potential at the age of 20 is still enough to attract the interest from clubs of the Premier League and from abroad.

His current contract with Watford runs until 2025.
