PSV Eindhoven’s efforts to sign Savinho from Manchester City are ‘still in full force’, although a deal has not yet been completed.
That’s according to Eindhovens Dagblad, who say a move is not as far along as reports in Brazil have made out.
They explain that PSV are still doing everything they can to convince Manchester City to loan Savinho to them next season, with him unable to stay at the Etihad due to work permit regulations.
Reports in Brazil stating that a loan deal has been agreed are wide of the mark at this moment in time, although PSV want to finalise a deal ‘in the short term’.
They feel ‘strengthened’ in their pursuit by the desire of the player, who is ‘eager’ to go to the Eredivisie side.
There is still a chance Manchester City will elect to send him to one of their satellite teams in the City Group, such as Troyes or Lommel, but he would prefer a move to PSV.
They’re more than happy to take him on loan, although the possible terms and conditions of that deal are still to be defined.
The youngster would, though, arrive at the club as a reinforcement for the senior squad and not Jong PSV, as has been suggested.
