AC Milan would ‘gladly’ sign both Japhet Tanganga and Pape Sarr from Tottenham Hotspur this month, with the club targeting both players for a while, reports Gazzetta dello Sport.
However, with Milan being a Serie A club they want things done on their terms, and, as nearly always, that’s a loan with a right to buy.
Therefore, if a player does well, the Rossoneri can proceed to make the move permanent for a reasonable price, and if it’s goes badly they can send him back to Spurs without ever worrying about it again.
When it comes to Tanganga, the report states Tottenham want, at the very least, a redemption obligation, meaning Milan would be forced to make the move permanent next summer. Spurs may have some strength here because Gazzetta say Inter Milan are now also interested in the defender.
It’s a similar situation with Sarr, although the Italian newspaper sounds more confident the Serie A side may be able to get their own way with that deal, either a straight loan or a loan with an option.
