As we’ve been covering over the past few days, Juventus’ pursuit for Cedric Soares is really a thing in Portugal. The local newspapers are getting exclusive information on the chase, and today it’s Recordwith a few updates on it.

They claim Juve have been following the Southampton player since January, and all the doubts they had are gone due to his good performances in the Confederations Cup for Portugal.

The player is Massimo Allegri’s priority to replace Daniel Alves at the club, even though other names such as Matteo Darmian and Mattia De Sciglio are also on the list.

Southampton would be willing to sell Cedric for a good amount, and Juventus have €17m to convince the Premier League side to let him go.

As written by A Bola last Monday, it’s worth recalling that Sporting will still get 15% of a transfer due to a clause from his move in 2015.

So that’s €17m less 15% for Southampton? Whatever Juventus hope, and is believed in Portugal, there’s not a chance at that price.
