Manchester City star Bernardo Silva has emerged as a transfer target for Barcelona, and according to Le10 Sport, the Catalan club ‘love’ the Portugal international.

Clément Lenglet, Ousmane Dembélé, Samuel Umtiti and Antoine Griezmann are the four French players at Barca, and the report explains it’s not a good time to be a Frenchman in Catalonia.

While Lenglet has satisfied with his performances, the situations of the other three players are labelled as ‘problematic’.

Quique Setién’s side are looking to raise funds to finance the operation to sign Inter Milan’s Lautaro Martínez, and also extend Lionel Messi’s contract.

Le10 say there’s belief at the club the former Atlético Madrid star’s sale can ‘generate’ more money.

In the event of Griezmann’s departure, which seems unlikely as of now, then Barca ‘dream’ of signing Silva, who would immediately become an ‘absolute priority’.

The Portuguese is managed by Jorge Mendes and Barca share a good relation with the super-agent.

The former AS Monaco man has a contract until 2025, and it’s worth pointing there’s nothing in the report to indicate if either Silva or City are open to the idea of transfer.
