Earlier this week, we covered very positive news regarding West Bromwich Albion’s attempt to sign Chaka Traore.
It was said the Baggies were in ‘very advanced’ talks for the move, while a report from Italy even claimed they ‘reached an agreement‘ with AC Milan and the player was deciding between West Brom and Lausanne-Sport.
Now after a few hours of silence, it seems West Brom may actually lose the race to a Serie A side. That’s according to Sport Italia.
The website reveals that Traore, who’s looking for a way out of Milan on loan, is close to joining Palermo.
It’s said the winger could make the move on a loan deal, and there isn’t a single mention of any other club who’d been interested in him.
Traore had very few minutes on the pitch with Milan’s senior side this season, and is looking for a loan to at least get more playing time.
West Brom and Swiss side Lausanne-Sport were reportedly fighting for his signing, with Milan letting the player choose between the two. But it now seems the option of staying in Italy may have a bigger weight on the decision.
