Olivier Giroud continues to be one of the players most frequently mentioned in the Italian rumour mill, even though the local media are not so sure if Inter Milan are going for his signing.
Newspaper Tuttosport has one of their big stories today naming all the players who the Nerazzurri could be buying in January, and the Chelsea striker is one of them.
They say he’s the one who ‘teases most’ to be Romelu Lukaku’s first reserve at Antonio Conte’s side.
The manager had already brought Giroud from Arsenal when signing him for Chelsea in 2018, and now would like to have him again at Inter Milan.
It’s claimed that as Giroud hasn’t been playing a lot at Chelsea, he’s asked to leave the club. And since he’s considered to be ‘ready’ to play for any other side, that’s something that counts in his favour.
The problem is that Giroud makes €8m per season and is 33 years old. And for not being a player for the future, Inter Milan are doubtful if he’s worth all the hassle.
