Borussia Dortmund’s director of football Michael Zorc has laughed off comments from Mino Raiola regarding Erling Haaland, as he continues to be linked with a move to Manchester United.
Raiola was back to his usual games this week, with an interview with BBC Sport seeing him cover the future of his client Haaland.
The young striker has continued to impress with Borussia Dortmund this season and, after another shining performance in the Champions League, the usual links to the big clubs have been abound once more.
Manchester United are continually linked, given they were keen before he move to Germany, and Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s claim that he remains in touch with the striker, whom he coached at Molde, has only fanned those flames.
Raiola, for his part, has claimed that only ten clubs in the world can afford to buy Haaland and claimed four of those are in the Premier League.
Manchester United were named as one of that quartet by BILD today, but Zorc has made an effort to pour cold water on those rumours in his press conference today.
“First of all, I have to say that it doesn’t bug me at all, and I don’t see that Raiola’s statements are that exciting,” Sport.de report him saying.
“It’s also clear that Erling Haaland can’t and won’t play for every club after his time with Borussia Dortmund. I can’t even think of ten clubs.
“That was a completely normal statement that he sometimes has to make.
“We are happy with Erling and have firm plans for him. And I think he also likes it here quite a lot.”
