There’s a claim in the Turkish media that Galatasaray are now showing interest in West Ham United forward Niclas Füllkrug.
The Germany international only joined the Hammers in the summer transfer window but has hardly figured this season due to injury.
Ege Gundem have covered comments Serdar Ali Çelikler has made to Neo Spor in which he claims Galatasaray want to sign the West Ham player during the next transfer window. The Turkish champions reportedly want to bring in a forward in the new year and the German is said to be an option.
However, the Turkish journalist believes it will be difficult to convince West Ham to sell a player that only arrived a few months.
Following the recent long-term injury to Mauro Icardi, Galatasaray have been linked with a number of forward, including Füllkrug’s West Ham teammate Michail Antonio.
Last week we covered reports from Turkey that the Super Lig champions have been approached by agents with regards to Antonio, but Gala manager Okan Buruk isn’t convinced over signing the 34-year-old.
Füllkrug has made just four appearances since signing for the Premier League side from Borrusia Dortmund due to an ongoing Achilles problem.
