Despite a willingness to let him go, Leicester City have yet to agree to a sale for Boubakary Soumaré.
AS Monaco are keen on the defensive midfielder, and were reportedly to have already made a €15m bid for his services, but that was turned down.
It was made clear at the time that Leicester wanted at least €20m, and that figure stands to this day, according to L’Equipe.
The newspaper on Tuesday explain the Ligue 1 side ‘continue the exchanges’ to try and sign him from the King Power Stadium, but they aren’t going to do so forever.
They are looking at other names, but it’s clear that Soumaré remains the favourite for the role.
Philippe Clément, Monaco’s manager, has kept in touch with the Leicester player, and it’s pointed out that regardless of all this, ‘€20m will be needed to manage to convince the Foxes’.
That’s money they are yet to put on the table, and now we have to wait and see if they will.
