Liverpool star Mohamed Salah is in his final year of contract and his future beyond this season still needs to be clarified.
The forward continues to impress for the Reds as he managed 10 goals and 10 assists from 17 matches this season.
Tuesday’s edition of Sport claims the Liverpool star could be an option for Barcelona next summer.
The La Liga side were unsuccessful in their efforts to sign a ‘differential’ player to bolster their attack last summer. They continue to think of strengthening the same position at the end of this season.
Barcelona’s target list includes the 32-year-old, Athletic’s Nico Williams, AC Milan’s Rafael Leão, Napoli’s Khvicha Kvaratskhelia and Bayern Munich’s Leroy Sané. The Catalan club will have to spend more money to sign Williams, Leão or the Georgian.
As things stand, Sané and the Egypt international will be available on a free transfer next summer.
The newspaper claims the two players have been offered to Hansi Flick’s side. The ‘main problem’ for the Blaugrana to sign them is their high financial demands.
They haven’t yet made a final decision, but it’s possible an ‘effort will be made’ to sign one of them. Whether that’ll be Liverpool attacker, or another player remains to be seen.
