Fanatik claim Aston Villa are the most serious club in the race to sign Trazbonspor forward Daniel Sturridge before the transfer deadline.
This week we covered reports from Turkey that Villa are interested in signing the former Liverpool striker, and Fanatik have backed up claims the Premier League side have offered €5m to Trabzonspor to sign the player.
Despite recently signing Mbwana Samatta, it seems Villa are still looking to bolster their attacking options as they look to avoid relegation.
It’s also stated the Super Lig side haven’t yet responded to the offer, and their board is considering the proposal.
The 30 year old is earning €3.5m per year with Trabzonspor and Karadeniz Firtinasi’s president Ali Agaoglu could allow him to leave in this window given he’s one of the highest earners at the club.
Sturridge has made 13 appearances this season, scoring seven goals. He’s just retuned to training due to a minor injury.
