According to a report in the Turkish media, Fernerbahce will give Wolverhampton Wanderers an answer over Josef de Souza after their presidential elections after claims the English side have made a bid for the player.

The Brazilian midfielder has been linked with Wolves in the past week.

Fotomac have reported on the latest developments with Wolves in pursuit of Souza and the Turkish club have reportedly said: “We have the election process now, we’ll wait to give an answer. After the election, the English team (which Fotomac think is Wolves) will come to the door of the Yellow Canaries.”

This week we covered reports from the Turkish press that Wolves are showing an interest in Souza, ten months after their rivals West Bromwich Albion came very close to signing him.

It’s been reported Wolves are prepared to pay €12m for the former Brazil international and have contacted Fenerbahce.

However, it seems the Championship champions will have to wait until Fenerbahce’s elections on the 3rd of June to get an answer.

It’s also reported the player could be offered a new deal by the Turkish giants. Souza has just 12 months left on his current contract.
