Sadio Mane has not finalised a move from Liverpool to Bayern Munich, but the German giants have put a package on the table for him.

That’s according to SportBILD, who provide all the details on Mane’s potential move to the Allianz Arena today.

They report that Bayern had planned to hold a personal meeting with Mane after the Champions League final, but that was made impossible by Mane returning to Liverpool and then boarding a plane to Dakar to join up with Senegal.

However, Bayern have made it clear they want him, and sports director Hasan Salihamidzic has ‘deposited an overall package’ with the player’s representatives for a ‘possible collaboration’.

Mane is said to be ‘very fond’ of what’s been presented to him as it not only offers annual earnings of over €20m but convinces him personally as well.

Salihamidzic and fellow Bayern chief Oliver Kahn are keen to get a deal wrapped up as they want to silence the recent criticisms of their work.

Mane, meanwhile, has been left impressed by the ‘esteem’ in which Bayern hold him, something he does not feel at Liverpool, where he is in Mohamed Salah’s shadow.

Thus both sides want the deal to happen, and Liverpool are expecting the player’s representative Björn Bezemer to ‘come forward’ in the coming days and ‘demand the release of his client’ this summer.

Neither side are serious about discussing an extension to his current deal, which runs out next summer, with Mane believed to have demanded €24m a year in negotiations earlier this year.

Mane is yet to say goodbye to his teammates but has made it clear he doesn’t know if he will be returning while Jurgen Klopp has given his okay to the sale.

Bayern, therefore, are ‘very confident’ they will be able to get the deal over the line, although PSG are still in the picture and believed to have offered more money than their German counterparts. Real Madrid could also make a move at some point.

However, Mane likes the idea of being a ‘world star’ in Munich, something that puts them at the front of the queue for his signature.
