Featuring just seven times for Manchester United this season, it’s quite clear that Eric Bailly is no longer a regular starter at Old Trafford.

Neither Ole Gunnar Solskjaer nor Ralf Rangnick have been keen to give the Ivory Coast international a chance in the first-team this season, leading to suggestion that a move away from the Premier League side this summer could be on the cards.

One of the interested parties in January was said to be Marseille, but the player remained at Manchester United before heading off for the Africa Cup of Nations.

He hasn’t featured since his return, but that doesn’t mean the French club are no longer interested.

According to journalist Fabrice Hawkins, the man in charge of transfers at Marseille, Pablo Longoria, is ‘coming back’ for the Manchester United defender after trying his luck for a loan in January, to no avail.

He reports that Bailly is ‘leaning towards a transfer this summer’, before adding the Ivorian has ‘many offers, especially in Italy’.

As for when the Manchester United man will take his decision, that will be ‘at the end of the season’.

Something to keep an eye on, especially with Erik ten Hag likely to want to change a lot of things at Old Trafford once he takes over.
