Turkish newspaper Hurriyet claim Galatasaray are closing in on Manchester City defender Jason Denayer and they are confident that they can sign the Belgian before the Super Lig transfer window closes in two weeks.
Hurriyet report Galatasaray have already agreed personal terms with Denayer and the 23 year old has accepted the same wages he earned with Galatasaray last season. The player was loaned to the Istanbul club where he won the league title.
It’s reported Denayer will earn €1.3m from Galatasaray and if the Belgium international joins the club they are willing to offer Manchester City a €500k loan fee to make the deal happen.
Denayer has reportedly rejected the chance to join the likes of Celtic and Leeds United this summer in order to return to Galatasaray.
The defender doesn’t seem to be in the plans of Pep Guardiola and wasn’t involved in Manchester City’s opening game of the season against Arsenal last weekend.
