Galatasaray lost to local rivals Besiktas at the weekend and their squad situation is not looking good at the moment.

Due to suspensions and injuries, the Turkish club currently have just 16 senior players available and are keen to bring in reinforcements during the next transfer window.

After the game, Galatasaray vice-president Abdurrahim Albayrak said they want to bring in two forwards in the new year, and Aksam today report one of their main options is Liverpool’s Divock Origi.

It’s claimed the Liverpool forward is close to coming to an agreement to join the Istanbul club in January and that the Belgium intentional would arrive on a loan deal.

According to Aksam, talks over the loan fee are set are to continue over the next few weeks.

Origi scored the winner during Liverpool’s win against Everton yesterday and Aksam claim the Turkish club are looking to get a deal done soon.

The Belgian forward is contracted with Liverpool until June 2020.
