According to Super Haber TV’s Levent Umit Erol, Galatasaray are very close to signing Fulham attacker Ryan Babel.
Following Fulham’s relegation from the Premier League, Babel has been linked with a move back to Turkey, and according to Erol, Galatasaray are leading the race to sign the 32 year old.
Babel, who joined Fulham after a successful spell at Besiktas, is also considering a return to the Super Lig but this time it looks like it will be with Galatasaray.
Erol says Babel doesn’t fancy a move back to Besiktas as he looks set to accept Galatasaray’s €3m per season offer.
It’s also reported Babel shares the same agent as Galatasaray’s Ryan Donk, so this could give Galatasaray an advantage over local rivals Besiktas and Fenerbahce to land the Fulham man.
Since returning to Premier League, the former Liverpool winger has scored 4 goals and made three assists for Fulham in 12 appearances.
The Dutch international will become a free agent at the end of the season when his six mont contract expires with the London club.
