Turkish newspaper Fotomac report Galatasaray are very close to reaching an agreement with Southampton to extend Mario Lemina’s loan deal.
The Gabonese midfielder has been an important member of Fatih Terim’s side since he joined the Super Lig side last summer and that has led to Galatasaray trying to secure his services for next season.
Fotomac claim Galatasaray and Southampton are now close to completing a deal which will extend Lemina’s stay in Istanbul. The Saints are set to receive another €1m loan fee from Gala for next season.
It’s reported an agreement has been reached in principle to keep Lemina’s redemption clause at €16m, with the player set to earn €2m from the Turkish champions during the next campaign.
The former Juventus midfielder previously said that he would like to stay at Galatasaray, and also expressed his gratitude towards club’s manager Fatih Terim.
Lemina is contracted to the Premier League side until June 2022.
