According to Super Haber’s Levent Umit Erol, Besiktas are close to confirming the arrival of Arsenal midfielder Mohamed Elneny on a season-long loan deal.
The Turkish giants are in the market for a midfielder after allowing Gary Medel to join Bologna this week and have been linked with moves to Lille’s Thiago Maia and Southampton’s Mario Lemina.
Super Haber claim the player is now on the verge of joining the Black Eagles as the move should become official in the coming days.
The 27-year-old has been told to find a new club by Unai Emery and everything points to him signing for Besiktas before the European transfer window closes on 2nd of August.
The former Basel player has also linked with moves to other Turkish giants Fenerbahce and Galatasaray, but Super Haber are adamant that he will join Besiktas on a temporary basis.
Elneny is under contract with Gunners until June 2022 and only made 17 appearances in all competitions during the 2018/19 campaign.
Edit: This has also been confirmed by Yahoo! Sport journalist Manu Lonjon, who explains on Twitter the player is heading to the Turkish side.
