According to a claim in the Turkish media, West Bromwich Albion midfielder Okay Yokuşlu is on the verge of signing for Trabzonspor.

The Turkey international has been linked with a return to the Super Lig in recent weeks and it seems the Trabzon club have triumphed over Hull City in a race to sign the player.

Aslinda have reported on the latest developments regarding Yokuşlu’s future at the Hawthorns and they say Trabzonspor are close to announcing the arrival of the player. It’s claimed everything has now been agreed with West Brom and it’s only a matter of time before the transfer is made official.

Yokuşlu was reportedly keen to return to his home country after two seasons in the Championship with the Baggies. Reports in the past few days also suggested the Championship side were looking to offload him.

Hull City were interested in signing the 30-year-old and seemed confident about getting a deal done because of their Turkish owner. However, it seems they will miss out on their target.

He made 18 appearances for West Brom last season and is contracted to the midlands club until June 2025.
