Even though Wolverhampton Wanderers’ chase for Valencia winger Gonçalo Guedes didn’t have many big updates in the past few days, it seems the Spanish side are one step ahead by planning what to do after the transfer.
A story from Marca today says the La Liga side now have Espanyol forward Adrian Embarba chosen as an option in the case the Portuguese player does indeed go to Wolves.
They claim Guedes still ‘doesn’t have it clear’ if he’ll move to the Molineux or not, and that seems to be the main issue for the transfer for now.
Marca says the possibility ‘exists’ and the agreement with Wolves would be ‘juicy’ for Valencia. If that goes through, then the Spanish side could go for Embarba.
Last week, it was reported by the Spanish media that Wolves were indeed ‘confident’ they could find a deal for Guedes for €25m.
The claims made sense when it was later reported that the Premier League side were the only ones in the race for the winger.
