Fotospor claim Besiktas defender Pepe has said he would like to play in the Premier League before he retires.
The former Real Madrid player has been strongly linked with a move to Wolverhampton Wanderers in the past week, but Besiktas president Fikret Orman has tried to play this down by saying he wants Pepe to remain at the club.
Despite Orman’s recent comments, Fotospor say the Besiktas president will be happy to accept an offer from Wolves if they match their valuation of Pepe.
Pepe is set to earn €6m net next season which includes the second instalment of his signing on fee. Subsequently Orman may look to offload the Portugal international, and if Wolves offer €6m-€7m then it’ll be considered.
Due to Portuguese connection at Wolves, it’s been thought Pepe might be tempted to play for Wolves, and Besiktas now need to consider what to do next if the 35 year old veteran leaves the club.
