Yesterday there was a claim in the Turkish media that Besiktas want to re-sign Everton forward Cenk Tosun in the next transfer window as their search for a No.9 continues.
Tosun in recent weeks has seen himself left out of Marco Silva’s starting line-up and his former club could look to take advantage of the situation in the new year by trying to loan the player.
It was claimed Besiktas may look to bring Tosun back to Turkey if Everton are successful in signing Brazilian forward Gabriel Barbosa in the next transfer window. The Toffees have been linked with the attacker in recent weeks.
Takvim today report Besiktas president Fikret Orman is aware of Everton’s pursuit of Barbosa and has been following these developments ‘closely’. Orman would welcome a return of Tosun to the Super Lig club after selling the forward to Everton just eleven months ago.
According to Takvim, Besiktas do have other alternatives but it seems the Everton player is their main target.
