AMK report Galatasaray’s new president Mustafa Cengiz wants to give Fatih Terim a gift by signing West Ham United’s Andre Ayew before the transfer window closes next week.

The Turkish newspaper say Galatasaray have made progress in talks with Ayew’s representatives, and are looking to make a loan offer, with an option to buy the West Ham attacker.

Galatasaray manager Terim is reportedly a fan of Ayew, and wanted to sign the Ghanaian during his 3rd spell with the Turkish giants, but the player eventually moved to Swansea City.

According to AMK, Mustafa Cengiz wants to sign Ayew as a welcoming gift to Terim, although the newspaper suggests a deal with West Ham isn’t close to being completed.

The 28 year old has played 18 games for West Ham this season in the Premier League, scoring three goals.

However, if West Ham bring in Joao Mario from Inter Milan this could put a question mark over Ayew’s future with the London club.

Ayew’s contract with the Hammers will expire at the end of next season, but the club have an option to extend it by a further two years.
