Manchester City re-signed Angeliño from PSV Eindhoven last summer and after making only four league starts, he was shipped out in the winter market.
RB Leipzig took the left-back on loan in January and they had an opportunity to make his stay permanent. However, they have decided against exercising the option.
A week ago, we relayed news from Germany that both clubs are ‘well advanced’ in negotiations for the 23-year-old, but are ‘still far from a final agreement’ for a permanent deal.
Kicker now brings the latest development and they claim the Bundesliga side want to take the Spaniard on another loan deal for the next season.
It’s claimed Leipzig sporting director Markus Krösche has ‘submitted an appropriate offer’ with the Citizens and Pep Guardiola’s side are ‘ready to talk’ about another loan move for the player.
The German side are also discussing a new temporary deal with AS Roma for Patrik Schick, but the Serie A side are not as receptive as City.
Luckily for Leipzig, they have time on their hands to complete the loan deals for Angeliño and Schick as the window will remain open for almost three months.
