Fanatik claim Besiktas are looking to sign West Ham United forward Diafra Sakho before the transfer window closes.

The Turkish side sold Cenk Tosun to Everton at the start of the month, and subsequently they’ve been linked with a number of forwards in recent weeks.

The Turkish newspaper say Besiktas’ board have hired Ahmet Bulut to represent the club during the talks with West Ham, and the club’s president Fikret Orman will also fly to England soon.

According to Fanatik, Bulut, a well-known football agent in Turkey, has told the Besiktas board he can bring Sakho to the club, and the Turkish side’s manager Senol Gunes has reportedly given him the green light to sign the West Ham player.

Besiktas are looking to sign Sakho on the cheap because the Senegal international’s contract with West Ham ends in June. Transfermarkt state West Ham have an option to extend the contract by two years, which isn’t mentioned in Turkey.

The Turkish club are hoping to get a cut-price deal, and they are currently waiting on Bulut to set up talks with West Ham before Orman arrives in London.
