Fanatik have reported Galatasaray are looking to sign Swansea City forward Bafetimbi Gomis this summer, along with Valencia’s Alvaro Negredo. The Turkish club’s first choice forward Lukas Podolski will soon depart for Japan to join Vissel Kobe, and Galatasaray are reportedly considering their options with regards to replacing him.
Galatasaray CEO Cenk Ergun will fly to England for negotiations with Swansea City. Fanatik say Galatasaray president Dursun Ozbek has given Ergun a ‘decent budget’ to seal the deal for the Frenchman ahead of the summer window. Gomis has been long linked with a move to Galatasaray and it seems the former Lyon star is a serious target for the Turkish giants.
However, Galatasaray will face competition from Marseille to sign the Swansea City player, given his good season on loan with the Ligue 1 side. There is also a possibility Gomis could remain at Swansea City after Paul Clement recently said the door is open for the 31-year-old next season.
