Fanatik say Tottenham Hotspur pair Vincent Janssen and Kevin Wimmer are summer targets for Galatasaray. The Turkish side’s CEO Cenk Ergun is currently in England for the transfer negotiations and Fanatik report the two Tottenham players are on his agenda.
The Turkish newspaper claims Tottenham manager Mauricio Pochettino is planning to loan out Wimmer for the season, and Galatasaray have emerged as a strong candidate to land the player.
The Austrian international joined from Koln two years ago, but hasn’t featured much because of the strong competition. Even when Tottenham switched to a back three, Pochettino used Eric Dier as a right sided central defender instead of Wimmer.
Another player Ergun is targeting is Tottenham forward Janssen. The Dutchman joined the Premier League side from AZ last summer, but he hasn’t provided enough support to Harry Kane. When Kane was ruled out with injuries during the season Janssen was unable to step up and take his chance.
Fanatik say Galatasaray are looking to sign Janssen permanently if the terms are good for them. The Wimmer deal probably looks the better chance for Gala.
