Östersund chairman Daniel Kindberg has told the Swedish media he’s heard nothing concrete about Southampton wanting his manager Graham Potter.

Potter has been linked with a move to Southampton in the British media in recent days.

Speaking to Fotbolldirekt, Kindberg was asked about Southampton’s reported interest in Potter: “Haha, I’ve heard that for the past four years! I think it’s common sense that there are rumours because no one has heard of us. In my eyes, this speculation is quite noisy.”

Kindberg was then asked if Potter would be leaving this summer: “No, I really do not think so. I’m not dealing with speculation, it’s what others can do.”

According to the Mirror, Southampton could be looking to replace Mauricio Pellegrino in the summer, and Potter is an option fo rthe Premier League side, along with Fulham’s Slavic Jokanovic.

Stoke City, Swansea City and West Bromwich Albion have all been linked with the OFK boss in recent months, but it seems Kindberg is keen to keep him at the Swedish club.

Potter has been building a reputation during his time in Sweden, and recently masterminded OFK’s  2-1 victory over Arsenal at the Emirates.
