Besiktas president Fikret Orman has spoken to the Turkish press at the club’s pre-season training camp in Slovakia.

Orman was asked about the future of reported Everton target Domagoj Vida, following multiple claims over the past week or so that the Toffees have made to two differing offers for the Croatia international.

NtvSpor have covered comments made by the Besiktas chief: “Vida is going nowhere, if you ask me where he’s going I can tell you he’s going to Sochi for a game against Russia (laughs).”

That all sounded quite conclusive but then everything changed with the next comment, with Orman providing a clear message a sale will be considered for the right place.

“We have no intention to sell him right now but we also had no intention to sell Cenk Tosun to Everton. We need to see how it goes. We are talking with three clubs. That means if a good offer arrives to the club which is also good for their wishes, then we can of course think about it.”

“What I want to say that we are not actively looking to sell Vida but if terms are good for us, then we can of course consider this.”

Earlier this week we covered reports that Everton have offered €15m for Vida, but also €10m plus Davy Klaassen (on loan for the season).

The Premier League side have been linked with the player in recent weeks after impressing for his country in the World Cup.

Everton could face competition from local rivals Liverpool after claims they too have made an offer for Vida. Leicester City are also said to be interested.
