There’s a claim in the Turkish media that Fenerbahce have stepped up their pursuit to sign Rangers forward Alfredo Morelos.
In recent days the Colombian has been linked with a move to the Super Lig club in the Scottish press.
Gunes have today reported on the latest developments with regards to Fenerbahce’s interest in Morelos and they say the club’s sporting director David Comolli has opened transfer talks to sign the Rangers man.
It’s claimed the Istanbul club’s manager Ersun Yanal, their president Ali Koc and Comolli have met to discuss bringing in Morelos this summer. Yanal reportedly gave his approval to sign the Rangers man during this meeting.
The Yellow Canaries will be keen to bring in a forward during the next transfer window as it’s looking likely they will be sending Islam Slimani back to Leicester City following his disastrous loan move.
However, it’s unlikely Steven Gerrard will want to be deprived of his star forward and it’s claimed the Ibrox club have slapped a €8m transfer fee on the attacker. That seems a little low, perhaps some misplaced optimism from Turkey.
