Besiktas president Firket Orman has told the Turkish media that Pepe is happy and he wants him to make a contribution at the club.
In the past week Pepe has been linked with a move to Wolverhampton Wanderers, with further claims at the weekend he’s told the Turkish club he wants a transfer to the Premier League side.
Sabah have reported on comments Orman made to Turkish TV when quizzed about the Portugal international: “Pepe has a contract for another year and he’s happy to be at Besiktas. He is a player who contributes to the brand and we did not get him to leave after a year.”
Yesterday we covered reports from the Turkey that Pepe wants Besiktas to evaluate any approach from Wolves and that he would be keen on the move.
It was also claimed talks have commenced and that a move to Wolves is a strong possibility in this transfer window.
However, there have been reports today that no offers have come in for Pepe, but Besiktas would still be prepared to sell the player for the right price.
