Turkish website A Spor report Fenerbahce president Aziz Yildirim will target Swansea City’s Luciano Narsingh after the Welsh club were relegated to the Championship.
A Spor say the Fenerbahce president is hoping to get re-elected next month and he wants to strengthen the team by signing the Swansea City winger, along with up to six other players.
Narsingh was linked with a move to Fenerbahce last year, but the player instead signed for Swansea City from PSV Eindhoven.
There are no reports if the Turkish giants will look to loan the player or purchase him on a permanent basis.
After Swansea’s relegation it’s expected the Dutchman will leave the club and Fenerbahce could look to take advantage of the situation.
Narsingh joined Swansea City from PSV during the 2016/17 winter transfer window, but he’s been unable to hold down a regular place in the Swans’ starting eleven. The 27 year old has played just eighteen Premier League games for Swansea City this season, scoring one goal.
There’s an assumption in Turkey that clubs relegated from the Premier League will be so hit financially they have no choice but to sell many players, but that’s not always the case with clubs going to Championship, given the parachute payments.
