‘I’m very pleased with your work so far. We have no problems about the money. I’ll sign who you want.’

That’s the message from Fenerbahçe president Aziz Yildirim to Dick Advocaat, according to Fanatik.

Fenerbahçe started the season terribly but Advocaat has managed to turn things around with the Turkish side still in the contention for the SuperLig title and the Europa League.

The Turkish club will only have €2.5m to spend in January, but there are strong rumours Emmanuel Emenike and Fernandao will be heading to China for decent transfer fees. If they can offload the pair Fenerbahçe will have a good money to spend in January and Aziz Yildirim says he’s not afraid of spending it.

That’s where Jose Mourinho’s Manchester United come in.

Fanatik also claim Chelsea’s Cesc Fabregas ‘may be keen’ to move to Fenerbahçe as the Spaniard believes he has to play regularly in order to secure his place in the Spain national team. But Fabregas has enjoyed more minutes on the pitch recently.

There is genuine feeling in the Turkish press that Manchester United’s Memphis Depay is the most realistic option for Fenerbahçe with continuing speculation each day in Turkey. Advocaat’s past working experience with Depay will be important in any possible deal and Fenerbahçe are ready to step up their interest in the Dutchman in the upcoming days.
