Galatasaray president Mustafa Cengiz’s trip to England to hold talks with Manchester City has continued to draw more attention in the Turkish press.

Hurriyet report Galatasaray are very close to forming a strategic partnership with Manchester City which will involve the Premier League club sending youngsters on loan to the Istanbul club in order to give them more first team football opportunities.

It’s claimed the English club have reacted positively to the idea of a partnership.

Hurriyet say Galatasaray president Mustafa Cengiz has told Manchester City (which will be paraphrased): “They will play there and improve themselves. Your players will play, we will have good players and the players will improve.”

The Turkish newspaper also report Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola will give a list to Galatasaray manager Fatih Terim in the next few weeks to see which players can be sent to Turkey on loan.

Terim is then expected to select players from the list and who will join the Super Lig club on a temporary basis. There have already been claims defender Eliaquim Mangala could be loaned to the Turkish side for the remainder of the season, but he’s hardly a youngster.
