It’s no secret that Roma are close guaranteeing the transfer of Chelsea striker Tammy Abraham, as the Italian media has been reporting the efforts for a while now.

And it looks like the Seriea A side are taking a step forward today, because as reported by Gialorossi.net, club director Tiago Pinto is on his way to London.

The outlet writes that the official will meet Chelsea and the player’s entourage, and ‘will try to close a deal’ for his signing.

It’s said there’s already an agreement with the Blues to buy the striker for nearly €45m. Now Roma must convince Abraham as well.

It’s claimed that the 23-year-old is currently ‘divided’ between accepting Roma’s offer immediately or wait for Arsenal’s bid for him.

So Tiago Pinto’s quest in London is to get a positive response from the player and ‘burn the competition’ from the Gunners.

They even feature a video showing the director has indeed been at the airport this afternoon.
