Torino’s chase for Leicester City midfielder Dennis Praet is one of the transfer rumours which exceed the summer window, as it shall continue for the next few months.
Today, an update is brought by Italian outlet Calciomercato, who claims that after being the ‘main goal’ for the Turin side in the last market, the player continues to be a target.
The outlet writes that despite not being able to buy Praet from Leicester this summer, there are new contacts between Torino technical director Davide Vagnati and the player’s entourage.
It’s said the parties are in ‘constant’ contact and ‘working to try to find an agreement’ for a January deal.
Calciomercato claims that Praet, who’s ‘not finding space’ at Leicester City this season, is currently ‘pushing’ to get a move to Torino done.
For now, it isn’t reported how much would Torino like to spend on the signing in January.
Now since the midfielder only has 154 minutes played for the Foxes this season, that’s probably a good reason for the club to lower their summer demands and make a deal easier to get him off the books going forward and free up space and funds for Brendan Rodgers to use going forward.
