Trabzonspor president Ahmet Agaoglu has spoken to Taka about the future of Leicester City target Abdulkadir Omur.
Omur is reportedly wanted by Leicester City, with recent claims the Foxes have tabled a bid for the 18 year old.
Agaoglu has spoken to regional newspaper Taka and said there’s been interest in Omur: “Yes, we have received an offer for Abdulkadir but it’s not an official one. These offers came through agents. Agents keep saying they’ll handle the transfer…
“We are Trabzonspor and we are a serious club. So we are expect formal, written bids from the interested clubs. If they make this kind of offer, we’ll of course talk about it.”
Leicester City are said to have offered Trabzonspor €20m for Omur and it was reported the player’s agent was keen to discuss this with his club.
The Turkish Super Lig side could be under pressure to sell Omur to Leicester City due to their financial issues, but other players may be offloaded instead, including Okay Yokuşlu and Yusuf Yazici.
The youngster is highly rated in Turkey and has been dubbed ‘the Turkish Messi’, despite just one season in the top flight.
The Foxes aren’t the only club to be linked with Omur, and on occasion it’s felt like there’s been an effort to hype the player’s value up, which would fit in with Trabzonspor’s comments about agents building a deal.
