Last week, we covered claims from Corriere dello Sport that Lazio director of football Igli Tare is ‘attentive’ to Celtic star Odsonne Edouard’s profile.

Simone Inzaghi has already asked his side to strengthen the attacking division and with less than four days left in the transfer window, the Serie A club are looking to bring in a forward.

Felipe Caicedo’s contract with the Italian club runs down in 2020 and he’s not signed an extension.

According to Gazzetta dello Sport, the 30-year-old is attracting interest from elsewhere, There could be more twists before the window closes, but Tare will not consider Caicedo’s sale before securing a deal for another forward.

It’s claimed Lazio ‘carefully evaluate’ Edouard’s profile, who has impressed this season with five goals and four assists in nine appearances.

Lazio are of the belief the Celtic attacker’s physicality and technical ability makes him an ‘ideal substitute’ for Caicedo.

Gazzetta’s report doesn’t specify whether Lazio would still make an approach for Edouard if Caicedo signs an extension before Monday.
