Jay-Roy Grot’s time at Leeds United is expected to come to an end in 2021, but it’s not clear whether it will end in the winter market or later in the summer, when his contract  expires.

The winger is attracting interest from ADO Den Haag, according to Algemeen Dagblad.

On Monday, the Dutch club confirmed a loan transfer for Chelsea’s Juan Familia-Castillo. After completing the Blues man’s temporary deal, ADO Den Haag could add another a new player to their squad.

The Eredivisie side have their eyes on Grot and he’s been training with them ‘for a few days this week’.

The duration left on the Leeds attacker’s contract is mentioned and the report adds the 22-year-old is not included in Marcelo Bielsa’s plans.

AD explains a loan move seems difficult for ADO in the ongoing window. Therefore, they would not be able to sign the wideman until he reaches an agreement with the Premier League side to terminate his contract.

Grot joined Leeds from NEC Nijmegen in 2017 and went on to make 20 Championship appearances in his debut season.

The winger wasn’t included in Bielsa’s plans, which is why they sent him out on loan VVV-Venlo and Vitesse in the last two seasons.
